Alternate
Lodgings |
If you are retired military and
have a military ID card, here's an alternate place to stay. We're told that NSB
Bangor has a very good Navy Lodge, which is only 3 miles from where the reunion is being
held at the Silverdale Hotel. Rates at the Bangor's Navy Lodge is only $40
per night and currently has vacancies for this period. However, retired
personnel cannot book a room more than 30 days ahead, so you maybe risking not having a
place to stay if you wait until late August to find a room here at the Navy Lodge.
The lodge phone number is 1-800-NAVY-INN call 24 hours a
day. In addition, bus service in the area is FREE if you have a military ID
card. (Submitted by Ty Wiese, who is on active duty at NSB Bangor and is also
the son of Danal C. Wiese, Blue/Gold
64-70, FTCS(SS/DV) ).
If you have other lodging suggestions you can share with everyone, please let us
know (Tim@VeArd.com) and we'll post it here. |
